Okay, I will be the first to admit that I am not a huge fan of New Year’s or its celebrations. Although I like the idea of a clean slate or a fresh start, I also think you get that each day when you wake up – it’s a chance for a fresh start. So by my math, I don’t have one chance to get a fresh start, I have 365 chances (I’m counting weekends here folks – all the better!).
Ever since I can remember, I have always enjoyed being creative. And my creative streak has really helped me in life. I believe creativity really helps in the problem-solving arena. It helps you look at issues from a different angle, therefore coming up with a different solution. And sometimes those solutions really work.
I have discovered over the past year, that I really enjoy hands-on creativity. While I’m not a pro at any of it, I can turn out some pretty cool stuff. And while creativity sometimes makes me frustrated (gotta solve those creative problems, ya’know) it also makes me incredibly happy and lowers my stress.
If you take a look at my Pinterest board, you can see I have many ideas, but very little initiative. To be honest, I pin a lot of cool stuff but never really do it. And that, folks is my personality. My ducks are never in a row but my squirrels really do like to party! I guess active Pinterest boards makes me a serial pinner? Or a least a gal who is willing to try different things.
So for the gal who doesn’t believe in New Year’s goals – I’m setting one. I’m starting a craft dream sheet and I will talk more about it in my next post. Maybe I will even come up with a fancy title for it, who knows?
